Cambria Hotel Ocean City - Bayfront

We stayed here for a night to have dinner at Spain Wine Bar on the roof top (check out my review for them, so amazing).

The major selling point on this place is the location. The only thing separating this hotel from the bay is a boardwalk. Most rooms have a view of the water. We stayed in a Bayfront 2 Queen with Bay Window. The view was incredible! Had the weather been clearer, we would have been able to see a gorgeous sunset from our balcony.

I had breakfast in the lobby restaurant Sunday morning. Simple menu, but the food was good and portion sizes were much larger than I expected.

The one caveat I have for the room is the balcony light stays on the whole night. Probably for safety/security reasons, but not a lot of privacy. Having the corner room, our balcony was a bit bigger, and we could sit back for privacy. But otherwise, you could be almost hanging with your neighbors.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and relatively quiet despite being right next to 50. Would definitely stay again, maybe for a couple of nights next time.

I would have given this a 4-5 star review but there were some major flaws preventing me from ever booking here again, which is a shame because the view of the bay from the hotel is gorgeous. 1. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and are somehow both too soft and saggy and simultaneously have palpable springs. The pillows are abysmal. If you stay here, plan on bringing your own. 2. The bathroom fan was not working, so it remained muggy in the entire hotel room after showers. 3. The refrigerators in the rooms are questionable in terms of maintaining food safe temperatures. The drinks I stored in the refrigerator overnight were barely below room temperature the next morning. Also, there is a slot where you must insert your room key in order to turn on the electricity in the room, and it is concerning to me that this may also include the refrigerator. If everyone wants to leave the room and plan on having their own key, the temperature of the fridge may not be maintained, and the temperature of the room will not either. 4. If you are on the 7th floor, plan to hear chairs scraping against the floor all night from the Spain Wine Bar which is on the 8th floor. If you plan on staying here, bring ear plugs, your own pillow, and some Advil for your back. Otherwise, the location is great and the staff is pleasant.

My husband and I recently returned from yet another stay at the Cambria. We’ve stayed several times, both as a couple and as a family, it never disappoints-which is why we continue to return. From check-in to check-out our experiences are always positive, each member of their staff is friendly & professional.
Upon check-in the young lady at the desk went over everything we needed to know, and you’re always gifted drink comp/coupons for their hotel bar, as well as a discount for meals at The View. Our room was perfectly cleaned, comfy bed & sofa, spotless bathroom, etc. We love the sizes of their rooms and the bathroom, the Bluetooth mirror is a plus. My husband said the gym was perfect for what he needed, and looked out to the water, too.
As people who enjoying going and staying in equally, the view from the Bay Front balcony couldn’t be better! If you don’t want to drive, the location is close to a lot of fun within walking distance, several waterfront bars, and of course Spain up on the roof. And if you do drive, the parking spaces are plentiful, no stress of having to squeeze back into a spot. Bonus for the hot tub and game room, not to mention a lovely off lobby lounge with another great view.
Another pro is their housekeeping/concierge service. If you need something it is literally a text away. This really does speak to how on point the staff at Cambria is from start to finish. Whether it’s toiletries or wanting a bottle in the room upon arrival, the staff doesn’t miss a step.
Everything about the Cambria is amazing, the staff, the grounds, the room. We’ve already booked our next stay, and cannot wait to return!
